The Getaway Vans In-resort Cab Service: Saving you from walking home in the cold since 2013

Did you know that alongside providing airport transfers between Geneva and Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets, we also run an in-resort cab service to help you get around in the evenings while you’re in resort? That’s right, from Sunday to Friday from 6pm until 2am we’ve got your night time transport needs taken care of. Winter 2019 / 20 cabs are kicking off on SUNDAY 15TH DECEMBER, and here’s everything you need to know about about our handy late-night transportation service.

Why would I need a cab?

A bus is a rare thing to see in the evenings in Morzine. Plus, you might be staying out of town with access to transportation, you might want to have a few drinks at dinner, you might not want to drive in the snow. Or maybe you need to get somewhere that’s  a little difficult to get to. There are loads of reasons you might want to get a cab, and when you do, we’ve got you covered.

Why not let someone else do the driving for you?

OK, so how do I book a cab?

Easy. Just call our cab number. It’s generally switched on between 9am and 2am.

Or send us an email any time before 6pm. If you’d like to book after 6pm please make sure you call the cab number directly as the all-important cab schedule will be with the cab driver. When you book you’ll need to know the address of where you’re going (if you’re heading to a private residence), the address of where you’d like picking up from and you’ll need to provide us with your phone number so we can contact you if necessary.

Our cab service works on a pre-booked basis only.

Is it expensive?

Prices start from €15 and there are eight spaces in the cab, so it actually works out pretty cheap. You can view the full price list HERE. And if you’d like to go somewhere that’s not on the list, give us a call for a quote.

Please note there is a €5 surcharge for journeys after midnight.

What if there’s a huge group of us?

No worries, we can always make a few trips to make sure everyone gets to where they need to go. If you’re a very large group, call our office and we’ll do our best to coordinate some extra vans for you. Or if you’re hosting an event and you’d like to sort out transport for your guests, we can arrange a bespoke cab service just for you, give the office a call to enquire.

Please note each trip will count as a separate journey.
