Half term is just around the corner and Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets have lots to keep your family happy throughout the week!
If your little ones would like a break from the mountain and ski school then here is little list of things you can amuse them with.
Ice skating – all 3 towns have a fantastic ice rink including the amazing penguins you let the kiddies use as a stabiliser (or use the little ones as an excuse to zoom around pretending you’re a penguin?!) There is also a carousel just next to the ice rink too!
Sledging – if you have a sledge and a slope you can pretty much do this anywhere but if you like things to be official then you can head to the bottom of the Crusaz chair lift and use a sledge for free! Your children do need to be over 6 years old for this.
Paragliding – Soar through the air from the age of 4! The sights are amazing and if your child has an epic sense of adventure then for €70 they will definitely have a story to tell their friends at school when they’re home.
Morzine Celebrates Carnival – Every Tuesday you can take your kiddies down to the Tourist office in Morzine for free face painting, snacks and street bands! On Wednesdays toddlers are invited to the Palais de Sports for circus tricks and puppet shows at 6pm for free!
Cinema – There are cinemas across all 3 towns and all you need to do is look for the version originale (VO) to watch the film in English!
Bowling – Avoriaz and Les Gets have bowling alleys, they are very small and require booking but really fun!
Swimming – Morzine has the lovely new indoor pool next door to the Palais de Sports and Avoriaz has Aquariaz, the exciting indoor pool with a slide! You can even hot tub next to the piste!
Tuesday nights also see the torch lit decent down the Pleney with a run down of skiing and snowboard history! Make sure you wrap up warm for this one and protect your babies ears from the amazing fire work display!
There is so much to do and we believe you will struggle to fit everything in! Have a great half term holiday!
